Description
The Faculty of Medicine in Zintan was established in the academic year 2015-2016 by Decree No. (218) of 2015 from the Interim Government. The establishment of the college was part of a philosophy aimed at creating a distinguished scientific institution serving the Western Mountain region, capable of adhering to the highest global standards of quality in teaching, training, and scientific research for both students and faculty members. This commitment reflects positively on meeting the community's needs for national medical professionals.
The college is steadily progressing in building its infrastructure and qualified academic staff. Due to the displacement circumstances in the cities of the Western Coast and the capital, Tripoli, the college hosted a number of students in the advanced years. Consequently, the first batch of students, both male and female, graduated after completing their internship training in the academic year 2017/2018.
