Description
The Faculty of Medicine in Zintan was established in the academic year 2015–2016 by Decree No. (218) of 2015, issued by the Interim Government. Its establishment was part of a broader vision to create a distinguished scientific institution that serves the Western Mountain region and aspires to meet the highest international standards in medical education, clinical training, and scientific research—for both students and faculty members. This commitment is intended to contribute meaningfully to meeting the community's need for qualified national medical professionals.
The college continues to make steady progress in developing its infrastructure and academic staff. In light of the displacement experienced in the cities of the Western Coast and the capital, Tripoli, the college welcomed several students in the advanced stages of their medical education. As a result, the first cohort of male and female students graduated after completing their internship training during the academic year 2017–2018.
