Faculty of Medicine – Zintan Organizes an Awareness Workshop on Hypertension at the Faculty of Education.

As part of its commitment to community engagement and in line with the spirit of academic cooperation among the faculties of the University of Zintan, the Community Service and Environmental Affairs Team at the Faculty of Medicine organized an awareness visit to the Faculty of Education – Zintan, where an educational workshop on Hypertension and Its Prevention was conducted.


The workshop was delivered by faculty members from the Faculty of Medicine, including Dr. Ibrahim Khalifa Ahmed Dera, Dr. Mohammed Al-Rayyani, and Dr. Yousef Al-Jatlawi, together with a group of medical students. The delegation was warmly received by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, several administrative officials, and the Head of the Faculty Members' Syndicate.


The workshop focused on raising awareness about hypertension, one of the most common chronic diseases worldwide. The presentations covered the causes and risk factors of hypertension, the importance of early detection, preventive measures, healthy lifestyle practices, and the proper management of high blood pressure to reduce the risk of serious complications.


As part of the initiative, the medical team also provided free blood pressure screening for faculty members, staff, and students, in addition to offering health education and medical advice aimed at promoting awareness and encouraging healthy living.


At the conclusion of the visit, the Faculty of Education honored the medical team in recognition of their valuable efforts in promoting public health awareness. This initiative reflects the Faculty of Medicine's ongoing commitment to serving the community and strengthening collaboration with academic institutions through impactful educational and outreach activities.
